Dave Freeburn

Dave is South African born and from a very early age has been a passionate hunter. Upon
graduation he gained 12 months of practical experience in animal husbandry with feedlotting of
cattle. The opportunity to develop a large game ranch in the Luangwa Valley of Zambia presented
itself and entailed a four year apprenticeship in wildlife management and the hunting of dangerous
game. The knowledge and experience gained by working with some of the best professional
hunters in Zambia was unparalleled. Dave has hunted in Zambia, Cameroon, Botswana, USA and
South Africa. Very much a people’s person, Dave is dedicated to tailor-making your dream safari.

ZIMBABWE MATETSI UNIT 2 & KAZUMA

Tilodi Wilderness

Matetsi Unit 2 and Kazuma are two of Zimbabwe’s premier free-range hunting concessions, located in Matabeleland North, west of Victoria Falls and near the Botswana border. Covering approximately 120,000 acres of unfenced wilderness, the area offers true fair-chase hunting across diverse habitats including mopane woodlands, open vleis, river systems, and teak forests with reliable year-round water. Renowned for exceptional dangerous game and plains game hunting, including elephant, Cape buffalo, lion, leopard, sable, roan, kudu, zebra, and waterbuck. Access is easy via road transfer or helicopter from Victoria Falls, and hunters enjoy comfortable yet authentic safari camp accommodations in a remote, pristine setting—making Kazuma and Unit 2 a world-class destination for serious African hunters.

Silent Valeey

The 10,000-acre private reserve is situated in the far north-west corner of the Limpopo Province in South Africa. The semi-Kalahari prime bushveld terrain is typical of Southern Botswana, residing just the other side of the Groot Marico River. Malaria free and approximately 3.5 hours' drive from O.R Tambo Airport, your visit is hassle-free. Common plains game on the property is prolific and includes Cape Buffalo, Sable and Roan antelope. The newly renovated lodge is well equipped to cater for the perfect safari with friends or family.

The Jackalskraal lodge is going through a complete renovation with two extra Chalets being built including a new pool. the new lodge will be completed by Feb 2026 just in time to welcome all our clients that have booked for the upcoming season.
